Captain and Crew

Global Yacht Group has USCG licensed captains available for deliveries, daily cruises, driving instruction, hurricane preparation, fishing and diving trips. Our capability is for vessels up to 200 gross tons. All our staff captains have impeccable safety records. Our captains are very knowledgeable of South Florida, The Keys, Bahamas, throughout the Caribbean and the East Coast of the USA. Whether its a simple delivery to the boatyard or your seasonal passage to New England, we have qualified and friendly crew to get your boat there safely. If you simply require a relief or fill-in crewmember, we can provide this as well.

During hurricane season, Global Yacht Group will prepare your boat for the storm. A licensed captain with severe weather experience will sit down with you and discuss the options for your boat. In the event of severe weather, you may choose to leave your boat in its slip, move it to another marina, or haul it out of the water completely.

In the busy hurricane season of 2008, we arranged for priority haul-outs for several of our vessels. Passing all the other boats scrambling to get inland, we hauled our vessels out first-class, priority treatment from the boatyard. Most of our clients prefer the convenience of having a captain onboard responsible for moving the boat while the owner entertains friends and family. Very few yacht owners can risk an alcohol-related violation or accident. Leave the driving to one of our professionals while you enjoy your boat!
