In 2000 Captain Patrick Hagood attended The Chapman School of Seamanship’s Professional Mariner Training. He received a diploma for 369 hours of theory and hands on experience in Seamanship, Rules of the Road, Marlinspike, Weather, First Aid/CPR, Boat Handling, Piloting and Dead Reckoning Navigation, Electronic and Celestial Navigation, Yacht and Engine Maintenance. After graduation he received His U.S. Coast Guard 100 ton Master License and Towing Endorsement. Out of Chapman he joined the world’s largest Sport fish 132’ ft Trinity “Marlena” as a First Officer. After the “Marlena” Patrick went on to serve as First Officer on the following vessels .86’ Huckins Sportfish” Hemmingway”, 94’ Custom Line Ferretti ”Lady Breanna”, 112” Palmer Johnson Sport fish “Arrowhead”, 116’ Lazzara “Silver C” and the 165’ Yacht Supply Vessel “Paladin Shadow”. After Traveling Extensively for five years, Patrick took a position as Captain for Sea Tow of Miami. Specializing in Marine Towing and Commercial Salvage. At the beginning of 2006 Patrick took His first full time Captains job on a private vessel, 61’ Custom Buddy Davis “Triple J”. In 2007 Patrick attended Maritime Professional Training in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. At MPT he completed courses in Bridge Resource Management, STCW 95 Basic Safety Training and Upgrade to U.S.C.G. 200 ton Master Offshore License. After being full time Captain of the “Triple J” for two years he joined forces with Captain Patrick Nason and started Global Yacht Group. Patrick has extensive experience navigating in the Bahamas, U.S Virgin Islands, Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico and the North Atlantic Ocean.
