Patrick Nason is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Global Yacht Group, LLC., South Florida's premier provider of luxury yacht management. This rapidly growing company has found success by giving yacht owners the reliable service they deserve.

Along with Patrick Hagood, Patrick created Global Yacht Group's custom management platform, which enables select yacht owners to enjoy their boat without the constant hassle of maintenance, mechanical interruptions, and the costs of employing a full-time live aboard captain. In the midst of current economic troubles, Patrick has successfully created a company that encourages safe and carefree yachting in a lower-cost arrangement. Under his professional guidance, Global Yacht Group has given its clients countless days of perfectly planned cruises aboard impeccably maintained yachts.

Prior to creating Global Yacht Group with Patrick Hagood, Patrick worked for several years as a full-time captain aboard a 61' Riviera Sport fish  and 65' Viking Sport cruiser (Both currently under GYG management). Mr. Nason has cruised extensively in South Florida, the Florida Keys, East Coast USA, Bahamas and Caribbean. While delivering the 74' Hattaras, Andiamo, to New York City in 2008, Mr. Nason, along with the yacht's owner and fellow crew responded to a MAYDAY and rescued 13 divers whose boat was taking on water.

Often called upon for timely and safe deliveries, Patrick has sailed a 57' Swan from Miami through the Bahamas to Puerto Rico and St. Thomas and finally to Trinidad. Other deliveries include an upwind sail from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico and bringing a 80' Lazzara from Rum Cay through the Exumas to Cat Cay.

He occasionally captains the American Dream II, a professional dive operation in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and is certified as a NAUI Divemaster. Patrick earned his Bachelors Degree in Sports Management and Business from Barry University in Miami, graduating magna cum laude. While enrolled at Barry, Patrick spent three months living in Papua New Guinea and working at a 4 star resort in Tufi Village, 160 miles from the nearest populated area and accessible only by air and sea.
